Dabria’s Shadows Ice Cream Pie

Inspired by the Shadows of Death in “Dabria’s Shadows” by Demi Michelle Schwartz

 

Ingredients

• Pie crust – flavor of your choice

• Ice cream – flavor of your choice

• Edible black glitter

• Black gum balls

Begin by pouring the ice cream into the pie crust.

Once the pie crust is full, use a spatula to smooth out the ice cream.

Place the pie in the freezer so the ice cream can harden before adding the edible black glitter. The duration will be determined by how soft the ice cream was when it got poured into the pie crust, so check periodically.

Once you remove the pie from the freezer, cover the entire surface with the edible black glitter. This will give your shadow its sparkly aura described in the story.

Finally, place two black gum balls near the top of the pie for the shadow’s eyes, described as appearing like onyx stones in the story.

Now, you have your very own shadow ice cream pie. You can take the fun a step further by naming your shadow after one from the story. Congelatio may be a good choice, since it’s the Shadow of Hyperthermia.
